Population growth rate decreases significantly in Bangladesh: Maleque, Bangladesh has succeeded in containing the pace of population increase, according to health-minister Zahid Maleque, who stated this afternoon that the current population growth rate is 1.22 percent. An official statement stated that he spoke at a seminar titled “Population and Development” in Pattaya, Thailand. “Population growth rate has fallen drastically as the government of Bangladesh has been implementing different efficient family planning programme since 2009,” he added.

Ministers and representatives from 27 different nations attended the meeting, which was hosted by Partners in Population and Development (PPD). The meeting was facilitated by Health Minister Zahid-Maleque. Maleque highlighted achievements in Bangladesh’s health sector, claiming that the country has made outstanding strides in a number of crucial sectors of health, including population growth rate management and a decrease in child and maternal death rates.
“We have received praise from all around the world for addressing the COVID-19 epidemic… we are now concentrating on offering top-notch medical facilities,” he continued.
